چکیده
In this research paper design and analysis of wire ropes used in elevator have been presented. The main objective study is to find the best practices on handling for safety reduce downtime elevators due rope failures. Design calculations done calculate apt dimensions constructed Auto Desk inventor software performed using Ansys. Two configurations studied from result it can be concluded that possible relieve mechanical improve making more durable by inclusion new materials which turn increases efficiency life without compromising safety.

Semi-Active Control of the Sway Dynamics for Elevator Ropes
In this work we study the problem of rope sway dynamics control for elevator systems. We choose to actuate the system with a semi-active damper mounted on the top of the elevator car. We propose nonlinear controllers based on Lyapunov theory, to actuate the semi-active damper and stabilize the rope sway dynamics. We study the stability of the proposed controllers, and test their performances on...
متن کاملCombining Structure and Appearance for Anomaly Detection in Wire Ropes
We present a new approach for anomaly detection in the context of visual surface inspection. In contrast to existing, purely appearancebased approaches, we explicitly integrate information about the object geometry. The method is tested using the example of wire rope inspection as this is a very challenging problem. A perfectly regular 3d model of the rope is aligned with a sequence of 2d rope ...
متن کاملPropagation of Ultrasonic Guided Waves in Composite Multi-Wire Ropes
Multi-wire ropes are widely used as load-carrying constructional elements in bridges, cranes, elevators, etc. Structural integrity of such ropes can be inspected by using non-destructive ultrasonic techniques. The objective of this work was to investigate propagation of ultrasonic guided waves (UGW) along composite multi-wire ropes in the cases of various types of acoustic contacts between neig...
متن کاملAnalysis of Structural Dependencies for the Automatic Visual Inspection of Wire Ropes
Automatic visual inspection is an arising field of research. Especially in security relevant applications, an automation of the inspection process would be a great benefit. For wire ropes, a first step is the acquisition of the curved surface with several cameras located all around the rope. Because most of the visible defects in such a rope are very inconspicuous, an automatic defect detection...
